A puzzle that teaches shapes and sizes at the same time. Four patterned panels, a dotted circle, a checkered square, a leafy triangle, and a striped pentagon, each hold four nested rings of the same shape stacked smallest to largest, so a child has to recognize both the shape and the correct size order to get every piece back where it belongs. Removing the rings scrambles sixteen pieces at once, raising the challenge well beyond a standard first shape sorter, while the built-in size gradient gives children an intuitive introduction to sequencing, a skill that shows up later in math and logic. Bright, patterned backgrounds make each of the four shapes easy to tell apart even for a toddler who doesn't yet know their names, while chunky pieces suit small hands still building fine-motor control. Working from the outside in, or the center out, both work, keeping it flexible for different problem-solving styles. A colorful early lesson in shape and size for ages 2 and up.
