Flower press - Spring meadow

Two wooden panels, each printed with a cheerful scene of meadow wildflowers, sandwich a cardboard insert designed to flatten and dry whatever flowers or leaves a child gathers outside. Four yellow wingnuts at the corners tighten down evenly, applying steady pressure so petals and leaves dry flat instead of curling or wrinkling, and can be loosened again just as easily to check on progress. Simple to load and simple to check on, the press turns an ordinary walk outside into a small collecting project, with pressed flowers ready in a week or two for cards, bookmarks, or a nature journal.
