Lift-out puzzle, wheel loader

This wheel loader comes apart into five pieces - the front bucket, the arm, the driver, the dog riding along, and the big wheeled body - each lifting free on its own oversized wooden knob to reveal a small surprise tucked into the scene: a mole peeking out of the dirt in the bucket and a bird perched and singing on the arm. Rebuilding the loader piece by piece is a gentle step up from puzzles where each piece is its own separate animal, since every part has to go back exactly where it belongs to complete the machine, and every re-assembly turns up those same small surprises again. The big knobs are easy for small hands still working on their pincer grip. Crafted from sturdy wood and finished in bright, water-based colors, this cheerful wheel loader is built for plenty of taking apart and putting back together. For kids ages 1 and up.
