Table basketball game

A tiny basketball hoop built for a quick match anytime a table's free. A lightweight wooden ball sits on a spring-loaded lever at the base, and pressing down and releasing sends it flying up toward a mini backboard and hoop mounted on a slender post, testing timing and touch rather than raw strength. Because the launch depends entirely on how the lever gets pressed, not on how hard, it rewards a light, controlled tap far more than a hard smack, giving smaller hands a genuinely fair shot at scoring next to bigger ones. It's compact enough to set up on a desk, a coffee table, or a windowsill for a thirty-second game between other activities, and just as easy to challenge a sibling or a parent to a quick best-of-five. The whole thing is built from solid wood rather than plastic, giving it a satisfying heft missing from most desktop toys like it. A pocket-sized sport for restless hands ages 4 and up.
